My Dog Remington was having so many issues all at once. No vet in the area knew where to start. Dr.Young took the time to thoroughly review every test, scan and x-ray. He actually cared about our family! And it showed. Thank you Dr. Young and his wonderful staff.

I took my 13 year old Shiba inu mix in for a consultation about a fatty tumor that she had. They did an ultrasound and determined that it was removable. We scheduled the surgery for a week later and the 12 pound mass was successfully removed.The entire staff here is compassionate about everything they do for your pet. Dr Young is very easy to talk to and explains everything in a way that you can understand. If I ever need any further procedures done on my dog I would not hesitate to bring her back here.

Our experience was incredible. This Vet's office is professional and compassionate. One of our worst moments with our dog happened three weeks ago when the emergency vet said our dog needed two toes amputated. She referred us to Dr. Byron Young. He took us the next day. His office staff is caring and patient. What was a traumatic experience for us became way less stressful because of the compassion we received from Dr. Young and his staff. Dr. Young took the time each time we were there to explain everything and answer all our questions. I am so thankful for him, the techs, and the wonderful woman who sits at the front desk.

The staff and I at A Pet's Friend Animal Hospital would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Dr.Byron Young and his staff at the Veterinary Surgery Specialty Center in Englewood, Florida. They came to our rescue in helping a young stray cat with a traumatic injury to his lower jaw. His mandible was broken in multiple places and he was unable to eat on his own. Dr.Young was very generous and his staff has been going above and beyond by checking in on him every day since leaving their facility.Thank you again Dr.Young & staff! We are so appreciative!

This place is super great! They work with you. My dog had surgery on his neck, $$$$. They tell you exactly how much the bill is going to be before they do it. And it’s all broken down into details. My dog had to have a drain tube. But somehow he managed to get most of it out. Victoria was on call, I sent het picture and told her what happened. I couldn’t even figure out how he got it to come out with the cone on. She said he is a very intelligent dog. But it was ok until the next day when he was scheduled to have it come out anyways. The girls at the desk where super nice! ❤️ Love this place!! ❤️

I am so thankful I was referred to this amazing surgical center. My dog had a cancerous tumor on his leg and received excellent care from Dr. Young, Christine, Candy, and staff.

Our first visit to Gulf Shore Vet was off the charts wonderful for the pup and us. ZsuZsa gave explicit directions which might sound simple but when your pet is suffering, this was very helpful. Then we met Christina, the Doc and Candy. We left feeling more confident about what’s happening and what to look for. Ample parking and good sized waiting room to keep space for the animals and humans. PS You might see Christina at a farmers market with Neighborhood Juices!

My less then 1yr old Akita pup had gotten tangled in a broken chain link fence resulting in a left hind leg torn ligament. Lemon Bay Animal hospital referred us to Doctor Young of the Veterinary Surgery Specialty Center. We took her there and what a great staff they had to greet her. The staff were polite soft spoken and explained what was going to happen to our pup. After being examined the Doctor came and talked with us advising us of the surgery, the length of time for recovery, any possible pitfalls during recovery and any medications she would need. Dr.Young was right on target with his medical advise as well as his staff who followed up on our pups care. It was good to know that we have a Veterinary Surgeon so close to our personal Veterinarians and where we live. Our pup is back to normal like nothing had ever happened and enjoying her zomies. Thank You to Dr.Young and his super and kind staff. 

My cat needed bilateral femur surgery. From the front desk to the doctor… just ALL staff was WONDERFUL. Thank you for listening and helping my cat so quickly and being SO compassionate. If you want your pet to be in the perfect hands come here. Seriously.

We were referred by our regular vet to Dr. Young for TPLO surgery. Dr. Young is excellent in explanation of procedure, care and an obvious priority on the patient. His staff is just as excellent. My 9 year old, 70 pound, very active, mix breed has been doing excellent! Her incision is minimal and her recovery has progressed exactly how Dr. Young explained. I highly recommend!
